GCEE took a group of econ teachers to the UPS SMART Hub for a tour of one of the most technologically advanced sorting facilities in the world. The teachers learned that more than 100,000 packages are processed every hour in the 1.2 million square feet facility located on Fulton Industrial Blvd. They also learned about employment opportunities at UPS, the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, and its energy saving practices that are cornerstones to their approach to business.
