Twenty-five teachers from across the country were treated to a week-long Economic Education Institute co-produced by GCEE and Georgia Pacific in June.  The experience included lesson demonstrations from the Council and Youth Entrepreneurs, guest speakers from Georgia Pacific, and field experiences to High Road Ice Cream, Mercedes Benz Stadium, The Battery Atlanta, Chick Fil A headquarters, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

The teachers left the institute with dozens of lesson plans, experiences, and contacts to help further the economic and financial literacy education of their students.  Survey results indicated the week was a major success with most of the teachers wanting to know when they could apply for next year.
