A team of students from Jackson County High took home 1st place in the 2020 Georgia Personal Finance Challenge and will now have the opportunity to compete in the national finals in Lincoln, Nebraska in May. Runners up in the competition were teams from the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology and Campbell High School. Teams were given financial information related to a fictional family and had to create a plan that would help this family become more financially sound. A panel of expert judges listened to each team’s plan and selected the winners.
