In an impressive display of financial acumen, a middle school team from Beacon Hill Middle School in Decatur has clinched the title of Grade Level State Winners in the Spring 2025 Georgia Stock Market Game. The team, consisting of students Sam, Miles, Grady, and Grayson, was expertly guided by their teacher, Laura Gary.

Starting with an initial investment of $100,000, the team navigated a particularly volatile market to end the 10-week competition with a portfolio valued at $112,640. Their strategic decision-making and resilience in the face of market fluctuations have distinguished them not only as the top middle school team in the state but also as exemplary young investors.

This victory marks the team’s second win in the Stock Market Game, having previously claimed the top spot in the New Teacher Division during the Fall 2024 semester. This earlier win recognized them as the highest-performing student team led by a teacher new to the Stock Market Game, highlighting their consistent excellence and dedication.
