At the close of week 7, a fierce battle in the Stock Market Game is emerging for the #1 spot between members of the Atlanta Hawks  and students at Woodville-Tompkins High School in Savannah. Currently, the Hawks are besting the students with $166k in equity. But with 3 weeks left in the competition, it is still anyone’s game!

This exciting involvement from the Hawks originated from their employee resource group’s eagerness to deepen their knowledge of investing—just like our students! While the Hawks are currently making their mark with members holding the #1 and #2 spots in the statewide rankings, don’t worry- the Hawks aren’t in it for the prizes. IF the Hawks were to remain in the top spot, the first place student team would still be celebrated as the victor, earning each student winner, plus their teacher, a $150 Amazon gift card, trophy, and spotlight at the awards ceremony.

And remember, there is still plenty of time left for students to take back the top spot in our friendly competition! What could be a better bragging right than saying you beat the Hawks?! Come on students!
