Grades K-5
Thursday, February 27, 2025
9:00am-3:00pm
Join us at the Booth Western Art Museum for an engaging workshop designed for K-5 educators to explore the themes of movement and migration in American history. Through three key lenses—American Indians, Westward Expansion, and the diverse journeys of non-European populations—we will uncover how people have historically sought resources through trade, exploration, and migration. Discover hands-on activities and rich resources to bring these stories to life in your classroom. Gain new strategies for helping students connect the past with their world today. A children’s book and other materials will be provided to teachers along with all lessons demonstrated at the workshop. Time will be provided to view many of the museum’s exhibits. There is no registration fee for this workshop.
Materials, lunch, and substitute reimbursement provided
